Whitney Elizabeth Houston was the youngest of the children of the singer Dionne Warswick as well as gospel music star Cissy Houston. Whitney Elizabeth Houston grew up in a family that was musical. These songs helped Houston to achieve 7 US top tens that surpassed even those of The Beatles. It was the first US year, the album was had sold more than 3 million copies. Then it went on to be bought by over more than 25 million worldwide which earned her the first Grammy. The follow-up album released in 1987 Whitney featuring the hit songs Where Do Broken Hearts Go and I Wanna Dance With Somebody built on her success but it was her 1992 movie The Bodyguard (1992) that established her as one of the best-selling artists ever. While her movie performance and soundtrack was not popular, her Dolly Parton cover I Will Always Love You and the album accompanying it were top of the charts around the globe for months. The same year that she gave birth to her daughter Bobbi she married Bobby Brown of the ex-New Edition group.
