Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston, born 9 August 1963 to a musically inclined family in Newark New Jersey is the daughter of gospel star Cissy Houston as well as John Russell Houston Jr. Also, she is the sister of singer Dionne Warwick. The singer began her singing career in the choir of the church she attended The New Hope Baptist Church in Newark as a young child and by the age of fifteen, she was singing back vocals professionally alongside her mother on Chaka Khan's 1978 smash Im Every Woman. Her mother, Jermaine, and Lou Rawls were a few of the artists she backed up. The singer was also a model for Seventeen Magazine in 1981.
